So, your not sure about calling in the experts to fix your computer and you have questions you want answered... So, lets see if we cant predict the common questions you will want to know the answers to.
- How do I know I can trust you to fix my computer?
- Well, we are all Microsoft certified, all in our 30's+ with a minimum of 15 years experience each of doing this. We really could bore the pants off most people with our computer knowledge and chances are, we have yet to see anything go wrong with a computer that would surprise us. My Local I.T Guy is a "WESH UK" owned and run company, so have a look on the internet for reviews of WESH UK and you will not find anything less than 5* excellence from a company operating since 2000.
- Why shouldnt I just take my computer to PC world?
- Good question, but PC World charge £229 per-repair + Parts, regardless of what the problem is and have a 30 day turn-around. We charge £25 per hour with 90% of all repairs taking up-to 2 hours max + parts, giving our customers more than 75% cheaper service than PC world on almost any repair.
- Why should I call you guys for my repairs?
- Another good question, but thats the whole point of what we do, we can come to you, we provide a "personal service" and we pack everything up and take it for repair at our office saving you standing in line with your computer in your arms at your local computer store. We have the years of experience requred, and have worked in this business since the early 90's, often for big UK national companies in-house at times too, so you wont be leaving your computer with "The saturday boy" in your local computer store.
- What gaurantee will I get for the work done?
- Well, for software repairs, we will demonstrate to you that your problems are repaired for your approval before we expect you to pay your bill but there can be no gaurantee once the computer has been put back into use, purely becuase we can never be sure what a user does with it after it has been fixed. For hardware repairs, we provide a 3 month warranty to all repairs. Desktop hard drives, and some laptop drives come with 3 year warranties.
- How long will my repair take?
- This depends on the problem, if your laptop or desktop requires parts, these will be estimated for you and if you approve the estimate, the parts will then be ordered, so depending on your preferred delivery, it can be "next day" or a few days, where next day delivery for parts always carries delivery charges and several days is often free, so its budget and schedule dependant, but we will keep you informed at every stage so your never left in the dark.
- I smashed / broke my laptop screen, how quickly can you fix it and what will it cost?
- If you get your laptop to us before 2:30pm Monday to Thursday we will order your new screen the same day and it will be here the next day and replaced within hours, and most 15.4 inch screens cost £90 + Next day Delivery and we charge 1 hour labour @ £25 to replace laptop LCD screens.
- My computer is REALLY slow, can you do anything to make it faster?
- Yes we can. We can either come to you and do it or you can bring your computer to us but its often better for you to bring the computer to us and collect it later the same day as its often the case that we will scan the entire PC for viruses and malicious software which is time consuming and automated.
